Photographer Adam Thorman is an archeologist at heart. A consummate observer equipped with a mythologist's gaze, Thorman seeks the places where man meets nature. Or simply perhaps where the impression of man resides. Thorman is a Bay Area native who recently completed his MFA from Arizona State University. His senior show was titled What Light Remains In the Absence.
What Light Remains In the Absence
by Eoin Galvin
It is not the sound of the lights turning off
but the full silence of you and I at home,
not the shape of you in my arms
but the weight of you asleep,
not the bright, terrifying joy,
the burn and breech of us,
but what light remains in the absence
who I have become of us.
